Scheduled programme.
FootballFlora is just that, a tribute to football. Football is more than just sport; it's about enjoyment, play, teamwork, friendship, growing up, identity, music and a rich diversity.
Footballflora, with its foundations in the people's sport - football - appeals to the vast majority of people.
No-one is better than the old heroes from Brann Bergen, Liverpool and other England Legends at showing that football is more than simply football! This is the third year in a row that Florø has been football's Mecca for football enthusiasts. In 2005 we brought you Liverpool – Manchester United. 30 veterans like Denis Irwin, Clayton Blackmore, Bruce Grobbelaar, Phil Neal, Jan Mølby etc. In 2006 it was the turn of Brann and Liverpool to battle it out: Helge Karlsen vs John Barnes, Ian Rush vs Per Egil Ahlsen and Jan Mølby vs Trond Egil Soltvedt. 20 Liverpool Legends in all – in fact the most title-winning team ever to play together.
Right To Play – when children are playing the world is winning
A crucial aspect of the people's and football festival, FootballFlora, is the humanitarian campaign to raise money for Right To Play (formerly Olympic Aid). Right To Play is a participant-run, international humanitarian organisation that uses games and sport as an arena for developing children and young people in the world's most deprived areas. Right To Play is run by 4-times Olympic skating champion, Johann Olav Koss, and is involved in projects in 23 countries in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

FootballFlora focuses on play, unity, happiness and development. For these reasons, we are extremely pleased to be able to help children in the world's most deprived areas to experience a little of the privileged childhood we in the world's richest countries can expect.
During FootballFlora, 3-4 sports ambassadors from Right To Play will travel to Florø to highlight the important work being carried out by the organisation – and to take part! For information about Right To Play see: www.righttoplay.com
